PUBLIC RELATIONS

The Public Relations Section is a newly introduced Section in the Agency whose mandate is to create a mutual relationship between the Agency and the public through communication and create awareness. To allow for full integration of Persons with Disabilities, the Agency conducts awareness through the Public Relations Unit in collaboration with other departments in raising issues to do with disability through the print and electronic media using both public and private facilities available in the community. This information can be accessed on our social media platforms such as Twitter, YouTube,Facebook, LinkedIn and through walk-ins at our 10 provincial offices and the Headquarters.

The Section ensures that information about the Agency is disseminated to the Public in a factual and timely manner. The Section reports on the operations and activities of the Agency to ensure public awareness on Disability matters and that events pertaining to the Disability sector are promptly communicated. The section is headed by the Public Relations Officer.
